Last Week
Monday morning here in Dublin and I’m rounding up last week thanks to a weekend getaway with no internet connection. Before I made it to Saturday, last week looked something like this.
Thank goodness for technology as the only way I can get through my working days are to receive photos like this.
Tuesday I sat patiently by the computer and waited for Lisa Eldridge’s new summer lipsticks to go on sale. I was rather frantic about the whole thing and purchased two of the four pinks on offer. This is one of them and I can’t remember which other I picked. I really wanted all four but managed to find a little will power and decided on two.
I feel somewhat defeated when it comes to matching socks but after sixteen months I’ve given up my quest and am embracing the carefree, life’s too short for matching socks approach.
I stumbled across this fabulous video on Facebook and it warmed my heart so much I watch it on repeat. Check out my facebook page here to see the video. Trust me if you need some cheering up this will do it. Or maybe it is just me imagining Lucille wanting my skills and attention to help her recreate something similar.
Just like the release of Lisa Eldridge’s lipstick, I was ecstatic to hear that Pandora Sykes and Dolly Alderton of The High Low podcast are having a night in Dublin. My alarm was set for tickets sales at 10am on Friday and I was all ready at 9:58am waiting for that ‘on sale’ notification. Sadly at 10:01am when putting in my payment details I got a notification that the National Concert Hall website crashed and the event was sold out. To say I’m unhappy is an understatement. I’ve tweeted the gals asking for them to do another night but they haven’t gotten back to me.
The weekend arrived and off we went on a little country getaway. If you saw the car you would have thought we were heading off for the week! Not a week, just one night away was all we needed for a change of scenery, no internet connection, too much food, time for reading and a true Irish summer adventure where both rain and sunshine featured.
Lots of fashion things happened with some amazing Fall Winter 19/20 shows previewed but it’s Monday already and I have to get on with the week. Have a good one.

Those summer lipstick shades are seriously beautiful
I know! I can’t wait to get them. If her last range is anything to go by they will be beautiful
I couldn’t agree more.
